• Delhi have won four out of six games in this year’s IPL with the runs of Shikhar Dhawan their biggest weapon. The left-hander has posted the most runs in the tournament, 265 runs at an average of 44.16. Prithvi Shaw and captain Rishabh Pant have also been on song, both have posted two half-centuries. With the ball, Avesh Khan has taken 12 wickets and is second only to Harshal Patel in the 2021 IPL standings.
• Eoin Morgan finally found some batting form in the win over Punjab Kings. England and KKR’s captain making an unbeaten 47 from 40 balls. None of the KKR batsmen have averages above 31, wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik leading the way on 36.33. Prasid Krishna is their leading wicket taker and took 3-30 against Punjab.
• Delhi lost captain Shreyas Iyer before the tournament with an elbow injury whilst KKR have been without Rinku Singh with a knee problem.

Kolkata kept faith with their XI who had been defeated by Rajasthan Royals two days earlier and were rewarded with the victory against Punjab Kings. It would be a big surprise to see them then make changes after winning with 20 balls remaining.

 Shikhar Dhawana: 

Scores of 6 and 28 in his last two innings have seen Delhi fail to reach the heights we saw earlier in the campaign. With other players eyeing up the Orange Cap, expect Dhawan to deliver. 

 Rishabh Pant: 

The skipper continues to go from strength to strength with the bat during IPL 2021. He will be disappointed that he couldn’t get his side over the line against RCB so KKR should beware.

 Avesh Khan: 

12 wickets at an average of 13.41 has seen the Indian pacer take this IPL by storm. He had taken 5 wickets at 59.8 from 9 IPL games before 2021.

 KKR Key Players: 

 Nitish Rana: 

In spite of their poor start to the season, Rana has led the way with the bat and has 186 runs to his name so far. He is also the only KKR player to pass 50 twice in the 2021 IPL. 

 Eoin Morgan: 
The skipper showed all his experience and his famous cool-head whilst steering KKR to their target against Punjab. A run of form from Morgan would make a big difference for his side.

 Prasidh Krishna: 

Three wickets in their last game kept the target very achievable for his side. He now tops the wickets for KKR and will be looking to reduce his average of 25.87.
